This project is a visual identity redesign for 13 Reasons Why, developed as part of MOME 747 Network Branding and Design. The goal was to create a more unified and emotionally driven brand system that connects directly to the series’ themes of memory, confession, and playback.
The original branding established a serious teen-drama tone, but the title treatment and visual language felt less consistent across platforms. My redesign builds the system around cassette tapes, recorded evidence, and the act of pressing play. Through neutral colors, clean typography, analog textures, and a play-icon title treatment, the new identity shifts the series toward a more intimate, psychological, and memory-driven tone.
This case study includes the redesigned hero title, typography system, color palette, motion direction, and logo evolution.
